Zolon’s project management processes are derived from the Project Management Body of Knowledge—PMBOK—best practices defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) with iterative development built-in where required. PMBOK is an internationally recognized IEEE standard that documents and standardizes generally accept project management practices. Published by PMI, PMBOK recognizes 5 basic process groups and 9 knowledge areas typical of projects that we deliver. Zolon’s PMI-certified project managers ensure that our project teams leverage best practices in:

  • Project Integration Management,
  • Project Scope Management,
  • Project Time Management,
  • Project Cost Management,
  • Project Quality Management,
  • Project Human Resource Management,
  • Project Communications Management,
  • Project Risk Management, and
  • Project Procurement Management.
Zolon employs a rapid, organized and phased implementation approach to ensure successful project management and quality deliverables. Iterative development is built into the processes. Requirements management using formal change control mechanisms are laid out as part of the standard set of processes. Analysis and design using visual modeling is expected as part of the standard processes. Processes are defined for ongoing measurement and improvement of process and deliverable quality. Quality goals for the organization and individual projects form the cornerstone of our metrics program.
